Play Chess in Eindhoven

Chess players from outside of the Netherlands are often surprised by the richness of activities and competitions that are available at local chess clubs. Indeed, you can play blitz/rapid games against friends to sharpen your tactics and practice openings, but most foreign players are unfamiliar with the phenomenon of a club championship, where you can compete against other club members in games with a more ‘classical’ time control throughout the season or team championships against national or regional chess clubs. We also organize several times per year training, rapid tournaments and sessions for groups of players of comparable strength.

Monday evening is chess evening at our club: from 7.45 p.m. players gather at the Gemeenschapscentrum LievendaalLievendaalseweg 3, 5652 SB Eindhoven. If you wish to learn more, why don’t you pay us a visit?
We also have a separate division for children who meet from 6.45 pm to 8.00 pm on Monday evenings International School Eindhoven (Oirschotsedijk 14B)
If you want more information please contact the secretary.

Monday nights from early September to late June you can walk in from 7.30 p.m. Games start at 7.45 p.m. The range of rating of our club members ranges from 1200 to 2400, so there are always interesting players for you to play chess with.

Our club participates in the 2nd national league (first team) as well as in the regional competition. These matches are on Saturdays once a month and for teams of 8 players. Apart from this, there is an official but more informal kind of competition against regional clubs for teams of 4 players. These matches take place on the regular chess evening of the chess clubs, so during the week. These matches take place once a month.
