Club night

Our adult club night is held at Community Centre Lievendaal. Lievendaalseweg 3, 5652 SB Eindhoven.
On Monday evenings the hall opens at 19:45.
Youth plays at the International School Eindhoven,
Oirschotsedijk 14B, 5651 GC Eindhoven. Building RO.
Monday evenings for youth from 18:45 to 20:00 (18:30 to 18:45: doors open).

From 20:00 the internal adult competition is played in our club venue. There are various internal competitions, determined by the time control. The club championship is played at classical time control. We regularly play at Active time control, or rapid — see the calendar.

Every member can take part in any of these competitions. In addition, we organise a separate competition for beginner players. On evenings when the club championship is played, they play a competition at a faster time control. On these evenings an experienced club member is always available to discuss games afterwards. For this group we also organise around ten training evenings per year.

Finally, ‘alternative’ evenings are organised with some regularity, featuring for example blitz chess, a thematic tournament, endgame play-outs, a solving competition, and so on. The programme is determined during the course of the year.

On these lively club nights, thirty to forty members of all playing strengths are usually present. In the convivial bar, post-mortems and analysis often continue until closing time.
